Pretty medieval manuscript of the day is a photograph of an unknown manuscript, believed to be in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. I would guess that it dates from the twelfth century, and that it shows the presentation in the temple.

Pretty medieval manuscript of the day is another beauty from the Walters Museum. From a book known as the Cologne Psalter-Hours. It dates from the late fifteenth century, and is lavishly illuminated with gold leaf. This page is an initial B, containing illustrations of the Ascension, and Pentecost.
